HOEPLI Dictionaries on CD-ROM – Updates for Windows XP with Service Pack 2
The updating by Microsoft of Windows XP with the Service Pack 2 has brought about structural changes to the operating system that may cause malfunctions in hundreds of programs or even render them unusable.
Some Hoepli Dictionaries on CD-ROM, displayed through Microsoft Explorer, have immediate consequences, causing problems you will have noticed. On this page you will find the patch which will allow you to continue to use the Hoepli Dictionaries on CD-ROM, and return them to full functionality. To update your dictionary for Windows XP SP2:
– Locate the title of your dictionary on this page and check the ISBN number printed on the CD-ROM. – Download the program that will install the update by clicking on the corresponding link. – Save it on your PC. – Boot it up and follow the instructions that appear for completing the installation. Once the patch is installed, the Hoepli dictionaries should be launched in the following way: – Insert the CD-ROM in the drive. – Press the EXIT button on the program’s start screen. – Double click on the new dictionary icon on the desktop (or, in the programs file accessible from the Start button, select Hoepli and then the link to your dictionary). |

The CD-ROM of the previous edition (ISBN 88-203-3075-X) was published in three versions, the patch corresponding with your version must therefore be downloaded, selected in the following way:
– Insert the dictionary’s CD-ROM in the drive. – From the Windows My Computer menu, select the option next to CD-ROM. – Open the Eng. file – Display all of the information on the file with the Details option on the Display menu (if not already active). – Make note of the date of the file HOEPLI_E.EXE. – Choose according to the date from the following versions: > Grande Dizionario di Spagnolo, L.
